Quote of the Day:

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different?

Self-efficacy

Coffee take-away for early morning.IMG_8920

Recently, I have been keep thinking of the word ‘self-efficacy’, something I studied in University.  Self-efficacy means the extent or strength of one’s belief in one’s own ability to complete tasks and reach goals.

People with a strong sense of efficacy are more likely to challenge themselves with difficult tasks and be intrinsically motivated.

While, people with low self-efficacy believe they cannot be successful and thus are less likely to make a concerted, extended effort and may consider challenging tasks as threats that are to be avoided.

I believe believing and having faith in yourself is very important, as most of the time, it is not your ability that is telling you that you can’t do the tasks, instead, it is you fooling yourself.

Quote of the Day:

If you think you can do something then you can. If you think you can’t do something, then you won’t be able to.

Babka Bakery Café

Today, we had breakfast at Babka Bakery Café. Mr. Choi said he used to come here for french toast years ago.                         IMG_8887

Quote of the Day:

It happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realise that the people you’ve known forever don’t see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.

Snow Pony

Have not been to Snow Pony for quite a long time, so today we decided to visit this place again.                                                            0002

0012_3

Toasted banana bread w/ maple syrup mascarpone, fresh banana, berry compote + crushed pistachio. Still tasted very good!                                     0013

Smashed avocado w/ thyme buttered mushrooms, marinated feta + torn basil on wholegrain toast with poached egg. The toasts were too small and thin. I like nice, thick and large toasts these days.                 0016

0019

Giddy Up – poached eggs, bacon, slow roasted tomato, avocado + thyme buttered mushies. Still good, but again the toasts were not good enough.                                                        0022

This was my third or fourth time to Snow Pony, besides the changes in the interior and layout of the store, the price and the portion of the dishes changed a bit too. The prices were slightly higher than before and yet the portion of the food was smaller. 0025

I am really particular with whom I allow into my frequency these days.
